NEED HELP in need of new parts

Sorry Ross, I think I confused you. On the frame...not the bits on/in it. On the seat tube where the saddle post goes into the frame. It will probably be faint so check in daylight.

However, think the priority is just to get it running for a week or two right? Then you can look at different components. Do you have the tools/knowledge and band aids to replace the derailleur and check it's road safe? If not I do suggest you pop into your local bike shop or even Hellfords. That derailleur may well be salvageable with a quick lube and service. I bet the other components are good enough to get you rolling as well. Raleigh's were built to be battered.

It's a sweet looking frame (I had my eye on this) so look forward to hearing how you get on but no need to spend a lot on it straight away.
