You can buy them new from "first flight bikes". They made a deal with Panaracer and reproduced this model. Cool tires for any late 80's early 90's mtb.

Great job kaos, definitely prefer your version. I've sourced a load of bling bits for my own ultimate build and it just doesn't work for me. Those bikes are DH inspired work horses so should be run with heavy duty kit. Can't go wrong with XT, answer and bullseye bits. The grafton and cooks parts always look just a little 'weedy'.

And I love the yellow!

i also agree, that taking the bike to a more humble xt spec does end up a nicer bike. the purple start is also a cool bike, but yeah, it just looks right with the simple neon yellow fork, and that good reliable robust timeless XT spec.

Thanks guys! Jepp. I do love the Ultimate as a "working horse". As you said, pre-dh inspired bike.
The bling stuff suits better for the arc, i think.
