It says it was made by A-Pro in Taiwan in June 1995, which confirms that it's a 1996 model, probably reached the UK a few months later and went on sale late 95.

Hi Alison. I'm doing something similar here - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... 27#1728127 - happy to compare notes as it goes along. Mine's a November 95.

Stuck for a front derailleur at the moment. Do you know what size clamp it needs?

I believe it takes a 31.8 front mech

It won't be a pricey build and I canny afford to re-lacquer it, but I'll try to make it look nice, I'll look into making the frame look really nice at a later date

You should think about re-lacquering in order to to preserve/protect the nickel plating, Alison.

Shouldn't cost much to get that done, I was in two minds when I was building mine up but you'll be glad if you get it done.

Got the Orange seatpost, bars and stem for it thanks to my fellow Retrobikers.

Still not sure about getting off the lacquer without damaging the nickel plating, would nitromors damage the nickel plating? I just want to get it back to it's original state without having to have it plated again.
