Obviously gave the Lemond the jinx as the next day I broke a spoke in the rear cosmic wheel. Trying to get a spare is hard work as Mavic only support wheels up to 5 years and they have now gone into administration.I have to say though in 25+ years of ownership the wheels are still superb. Original bearings and apart from a broken spoke no other issues, you cant say that with modern wheels. I intend to get the wheel repaired and maybe put the Lemond into semi retirement as its becoming harder to maintain it at as new standard. My next bike will be something equally as special but modern and with a few carbon fibre bits.
