MTB Tricycle?

Derek Purdy (him of the NE MTB guides and Polaris Challenge) had one. It was most certainly not for going slow or the disabled. Having the drive to two wheels gave a LOT more traction.

As the rear brake doesn't really do much, the twin fronts were fine.

This one's 1 wheel drive.

The more adult based conversions have a rear brake. These days it's a disc brake, but it used to be a drum on the axle. Fairly sure the one DP had, had a drum brake on the axle.
 
Hmm, that's surprising for a Longstaff, as they were the builders of the modded freehub body for two wheel drive (and sold such back ends to other trike builders).

Edit: just realised it's not a true Longstaff, just one with their dealer sticker!
