Good question !
It is a good question, though not one I like to revisit

It feels a bit like asking a serious drug addict how much they spent on the habit. Im too embarassed to say in the worst cases  It can take 3yrs + before some rare parts ever pop up and then its a free for all  I also think some rare parts are unlikely to be offered again at affordable prices like 5yrs ago.

I paid $100 dollar for a NOS Goodyear Knobby tire for my clunker, + $40 shipping and when it arrived customs screwed me over for another €42. So about $200 for a tire after searching for 3 years. Totally useless as I never found another and it doesn't fit a 26" rim, only Schwinn S7 rims which are a little bigger.

Oh and I once drove 1650 km's in one day to pick up a bike I accidentally bought on eBay of a very blurry pic.
Thought it was an '84 Jamis Explorer but was a '89.
Cost me only €16 but about €150 on gas and a speeding ticket of €200...
