more pc help

dont worry , i ll try all the suggestions before buying a new one . ;)

I like this one , and if it is something I can fix , I will . I hate throwing things away .

Can you boot into safe mode, press f8 whilst booting,go to utility partition, run system checks (about 70 mins) see if that brings up any faults.Should check all hardware.

I would attempt to start in 'safe mode' and do a system restore back to a date when it was known to work perfectly.
You can also uninstall any software that may be causeing problems and check in 'System' for problems.
Also run a antivirus in safemode.

yes we have already been there spud. ;)

as you seem to have come to a conclusion ill throw in that a nice little program to use instead of going into msconfig is autoruns

basically just a frontend for msconfig but is much nicer to use . its saved me from many viruses and malware because you can plainly see the "imanastyadwaregenerator.exe" files hanging around in the system32 folder

ok , opened the thing up today and it was terrible , full of dust .

gave it a good clean and , it hasnt crashed tonight .

fingers crossed .
