Mondeo ST TDCI engine noise

Could be worse, my tdci transit that ive had for 5 weeks needs a whole new top end :roll: £ 2000 for a recon unit. The timing chain tensioners broke and the chain jumped 5 teeth and cracked the cam carrier :twisted:

Uh Oh, TDCI? If the heating goes suddenly cold on you, get the water pump changed quick.... Plastic impeller suddenly departs from metal shaft and will leave you stranded, and penniless.

Oh, and injector module goes, that'll leave you stranded in the middle of a junction on the M27.

Oh, and yes, it's most probably the Dual Mass Flywheel.

My Vectra is on the way out at 33K Ha Ha....

I fleetingly owned one of these and read up a fair bit on them using that site.

Dunno what your noise sounds like but the injectors are known fault and things get pretty noisy as they go...
