Middleburn Downhill cranks

Cheers mate thats the only information I've managed to find on them so far, there was a small bit about them in Dirt magazine recently concerning the evolution of cranks and mentioned Middleburn going a bit crazy at one point did make me chuckle. Mine are just plain silver though although I am considering possibly having them anodized black and the matching ring with gold chainring bolts and crank caps hehe

I find it interesting that a lot of these cranks did in fact develop cracks. It could be argued that there target market would be harder on components than average but I have to wonder if being so stiff meant they could not flex like normal cranks and so the forces end up in cracks. Bit like the tale of the oak tree and the willow.
