Love Mercian road bikes, beautiful quality and ride superbly. Their MTB/ATBs are nice but I don’t think they’re quite in the league of a top Roberts or Lloyd etc - just too staid and heavy.
They were my LBS for 18 years when I lived in Derby and they never seemed very inspired by the whole off road thing. I’m not sure their legendary road bike reputation relates much to their ATBs. Seems like a £600ish bike to me…?

Don't beat around the bush, say what you mean man...
Its got a mix of deerhead and m730 by the look of it with some uninspiring rims and some other parts!
Realistically sticking my head above the parapet £700-800 tops on a good day with a favourable wind!
But £3000 ...........

That orange Mercian a while back was nicer than this one IMO.
I had a look back over for sale ads for Mercians, there was a lovely one with Campagnolo U-brakes front and rear.
Maybe the seller put an extra zero on and we’re all missing out by not asking! Edit, just checked other items £1500 for a pair of plimsolls, and I definitely wouldn’t give the steam off even my cat’s turdies for those let alone my own!
