My Dronfield in 531 Designer Select with the winter wheels & sensible pedals-Mavic Heliums/Dugast Cross tubulars fitted this morning to handle the snow & ice...
Note the reversed rear brake bridge & placement of the canti-mounts by the frame builder... Not sure why... Might it improve the leverage of the brake cable run? No idea...
Anyway lucky to fit 32c tubs under the mudguards.

Re:

Oooh. Nice. My size too. Rear brake placement is prob to allow clearance for panniers. The rear seat stays are quite upright And the rear triangle short so there would be less room to play with than a comparable Panniers touring bike.

Yes, very nice. I was going to say the same as peetee but he beat me to it! Vernon does build a nice frame.

Re:

Thanks all - clever framebuilder/engineer with nice wee touches on the frame...
Just measured the rear chainstay length compared to my other bikes & peetee is right -
Has a shorter overall wheelbase & it's 42cm chainstay which is 2-3cm shorter than my others although some are 27x11/4 wheelsize.
