Marin B17 2000 Seatpost Size??

Re:

I am sure you do have a B17, but I was speculating it may have different geometry to previous incarnations in that yours shares it's frame with the end of line 4" travel models. It is just a guess based on what I thought I knew about this bike. Since my last post I have found pictures of a B17 with IS disk mounts on the swing arm, so I learn't something as I thought they all had some Hope specific (and obsolete) mount.

I have a 4" travel model so your measurements can be compared to that and hopefully someone with an earlier B17 will offer to do the same. I was under the impression that the 6" of travel was achieved by using a longer swing arm in conjunction with a 200mm rear shock.

Ahh OK, bit of a novice with bikes especially older stuff. I can say its a great ride and good vfm compared to new stuff though.

Just to muddy the water...
I have a 2000 B-17 and it uses a 27.2 seatpost.
And a 200x57 rear shock.
