I just put a set of elastomers from suspensionforkparts.net in a Manitou 3. They seem great; the fork passes the "compress the fork on the floor test" with flying colors! I haven't ridden it, and probably won't be able to for quite some time so can't say how it rides.
I've used the rebuild kits on some other forks and they worked well. However, there is no doubt that they are old elastomer forks; they're not in the same league as any modern fork with oil lubrication and hydraulic damping.

I've tried Wings spring kits in Manitou2 and it's utter shite. Main safety issue is you need the top washer to keep the stanchion lower bush located.
Suspension fork parts elastomers are so-so, but damned expensive.
