Hello ... First time on here...have inherited a Kuwahara Pacer late 80s in v good order, not sure which section to post in either as it might fit in road / mtb section..in fact i've just ridden it up and down the section of the Taff Trail up into the Brecon Beacons and wished i'd had some fatter tyres and front suspension.
I'd like to have thoughts on maintenance ...keep it as designed but where to go for new tyres, for example, and a potential replacement for the early Deore cantilever brakes.
The (i'm guessing original) IRC Cross Country 700x35c tyres work well but will need to be replaced at some point soon.
I'm really enjoying riding it, even as yesterday on very rough gravel / stone... The UKAI rims seem to tolerate hard going well.
I'd appreciate how other might go about maintenance.
