MODIFIED 18" 1994 Kona Explosif frame and fork (modified in big letters early to avoid getting anyones hopes up!). Apologies to the man who mailed me about this two years ago and then I faded out of contact. I'm back now. Frame has had Paul's singlespeed dropouts brazed on by Roberts of Croydon. The frame was then repainted orange and then (on top of the paint) had non-original 1995 Kona Explosif decals applied. One adjustment screw on the Paul's dropout is bent. The fork was repainted orange at the same time, but is incorrect for the bike - it's slightly too long! I have the correct length triple butted fork in black for sale separately and maybe could do a deal?
£120 excluding postage - postage would be at cost - or collect from Wallingford, Oxford, Tamworth, Warrington, Swansea (I think) areas.

Kona P2 forks. The forks are all non-suspension corrected and have internal steerer tube diameters of 25.4mm / 1 inch.

:!: The blue fork is single butted with a steerer length of 183mm. 1991 is stamped on the steerer along with the code 183F366. The dropouts are stamped SPINNER JI. Or something like that! The bottom part of a Kona headset is on them, but I don't think it's useable. The steerer is threaded.

:!: The grey fork is triple butted with a steerer length of about 140mm. Stamped on the steerer is the code CM/TB. The dropouts are stamped KONA. Please note that one of the brake adjustment three hole things is bent, I have tried to show this photos! Again, the bottom part of a Kona headset is on them, it looks in good condition. The steerer is threaded.

:!: Best for last! The black fork is triple butted with a steerer length of 203mm. CM/TB is (very faintly) stamped on the steerer along with the code 203E366. The dropouts are stamped SPINNER JI. Or, again, something like that! The steerer is threaded. This fork will not be sold until after the Explosif frame has gone.

An XT M735 front mech with 1 1/4" (according to stamp on inside) band. Great condition except that the bolt that holds the two parts of the mech cage together at the back is missing. I think it's bottom pull, but hesitate to be certain.

Shimano XT HB-M750 on 36 hole Mavic X517 SUP... relatively old-school bomb-proof?! This wheel has probably under a hundred miles on it - great condition (though I accept not really all that vintage - I'd probably be shot down in flames on VRC!). Original skewer. One of the rubber hub flanges has a maybe 2mm split.
£15, provided that covers postage. I'll check.

Kona dog collar canti cable router thing (goes around frame seatpost). Black. Great condition. Internal diameter somewhere around 29.7mm with the bolt undone.

A pair of blue anodized Diacompe brake levers. Functional and nice enough...

Pedals! Who knows what kind, but they must be for heavy duty action because each toe clip has two straps!

GONE! 2 x Shimano XT M730 front hubs on 32 hole Mavic 231 rims. Both in good condition with original QR skewers. The rubber ring on the non-lever side of each skewer is cracked. The printing on both hubs is almost totally worn away. On one hub you can (under bright halogen light) see a sort of impression where the words Shimano, Deore, XT and M730 used to be... it's strange and there was clearly other printing now totally gone. On the other hub you can make out (again, faintly and under bright light) the Deore and XT, but the rest is pretty much gone. The speedo clip thing seen on one of the hubs in the pictures will not be included. Both are in lovely condition. £35 each

Shimano Deore XT SH-M732 hub on 32 hole Mavic M231. I've always liked this hub! Like all the others, this wheel is in good condition. Original QR skewer - like the ones on the front hubs, the rubber ring on the non-lever side is cracking up. £45

Woot! Shimano XTR FH-M900 hub on a (what else?) 32 hole Mavic M231! At a guess (don't hold me to it!), the replacement cassette on this accounts for 60% of the wheel weight! Not sure if the skewer is original or not. The lever is metal without a rubber cover (unlike the older XT ones above) while the other end does have a rubber ring that isn't cracked. I'm sure someone here will know, and I will update the ad if told. Printing on the hub is totally sharp. At a guess, this was someone's race wheel and got very (very!) little use. £80? (I'm making this up as I go along, sorry...)... It (now) has no cassette on it but you can have the old one if you want!

If you're interested in tyres, I have a set of Panaracer Timbuk II's to go, undecided about the rest. The Panaracers have been mounted but never used - turns out I'm not about making things look showroom as much as I am about fitting fat tires! They're some of the new Timbuk's from First Flight Bikes - a cousin-in-law brought them over me a year or two back.

Shoes are a size 44 and my wife reminded me that she used them for about 6 months as her road shoes. I'll dig them out tomorrow and take pictures / stock. Sorry for mis-statement above.
