This 'front mech shifter'.....is it the lug for the front mech itself or the shifting lever ?
If its the front mech then you could get one rivetted on or use a shimano bb mounted front mech. I have seen the latter used on a Kirk frame. They used to have bb problems so make sure they are rumped right up, preferably with some loctite. He had a small peg drilled through the bottom bracket shell to stop the bb from unlocking.
If its the shifting lever mount then you could move to ergos.
