I have never had this with any chain...strange indeed...and I do mash up hills singlespeed and yes (thanks Mark) I'm not exactly a lightweight.

I have run KMC on nearly all my builds over the past three years or so and I consider then good chains.

Ah well...chalk it down

PS How can you overly man-handle a chain...you would really have to be a buffoon to weaken linkages whilst fitting a quick link surely.
