Is this sacrilege?

More of a Wright brothers effort , but I don't think it is ever going to get off the ground.
The whole idea is plane daft , it's called wishful thinking .

It's sacrilege. If Campag was in the clock business, I could understand better.

If the rings were from a crap supermarket BSO with an odd BCD like 95mm and worn I could understand better.

Campag make corkscrews and pizza cutters. Both items of use in the kitchen. This is a kitchen clock so it is just an extension of their existing product portfolio.
Think I might take out a patent and wait for the royalties to roll in.

Think it should be an art exhibit with a small white label along side it.

"Had it's time, by sir manure

A social comment on the faded glory of Italian cycle component manufacture and its continued sales based on nostalgia of old men in sheds"

You could then stand by it occasionally and say things like "yes, the red symbolises the bloody battle of fascism and communism as marketing shifts the cultural emphasis from Italy to China"

"The sharp teeth of the chainring describes the futility of the fight against the global normalising of the cycling industry"

"The five points clearly represent the big players, separated by time and the red over yellow speaks of future market trends".....
