Is bike stuff at Aldi any good?

Yes, I use it all the time.
Shoes where good, (or where they lidl's not much difference) Fit changes between types for shoes so try in the shop.

Aldis' trousers, bib and their cycle jacket have all lasted a few years and still work well even in deep snow.
Cycle socks (not the one in the soon sale) are nice on the feet in summer.
knee length shorts with padding also good and I'm still wearing them (not water proof though)

But still for the money they are working well enough for me.
Waterproof winter gloves are good, I bought another pair. They are not sealskin waterproof so don't go play snowball fights and roll snowmen in them.

Waterproof trousers work well, though if it's warm you'll sweat in them.

Might get some more trousers if I can get there before our locals by them, which means up before work... and we have 3 shops within 4 miles (and another 8 miles away, yet they still sell out quickly)

they aint Goretex though.

Another vote for the tool kit.

Mine came from Lidl I think, but it's an excellent kit and brilliant value. I saw the same thing on line at double the price.

I bought a "waterproof" cycle jacket in LIDL for £8.00. I wasn't expecting much for that money and I didn't get much; I think it was waterproof-ish for the first three showers. :(
