Well at least you have the best/optimal wheel size ref. Mountain Bike Actions two number articla about "The optimal Wheel size" back in 1990 or so. They used many words - to many if you ask me to argue that 26" or more is not the optimal MTB wheel size, but rather the MTB standard in the feature (remember this was ca 20 years ago) should be 24" 
But maby you can confirm we all have understand this wrong and the idiots riding 29-ers have totaly lost it
