I just bought this ( 88 Rockhopper Frame )

I picked up a similar rockhopper comp (black frame) a few months ago. I think it is an '88 or '89. One of the great things about this bike is the GX-26 rims. They have something like 21mm or 22mm internal rim width and makes for a big difference in performance vs those skinny rims. Still don't understand the reason everybody was so crazy for skinny rims back then. I like these rims so much I currently got them on my main ride (trek 970) with some 2.4' wtb's.
