I’m in deep, but what is it...

it definitely screams for some purple parts around it!

Does look good in blue too! ;-)

This is one I bought (for the XTR groupset that was on it).

I still have the frameset (including XTR headset and stem) but at the moment it has a stuck (and ruined...) BB in it...

Will take more pics later when back home.

FINALLY, the Frame made it here! And I couldn’t be more please!

It’s MINT, and after all it’s NOS.

Can anybody school me on upgrading crank box?

Can I fit a modern one and run Deore XT and group?
I’ve found some Deore wheels, MH-m510, and a pullerllax hub.

Can I fit a 3x9, if the body holds the a 8 speed hub, as long as the derailed fits the cassetter? Can i for 3x10 or 2x10

What fork?

Marzocchi MX 100?

Other nice purple eloxal forks from that area are: XC400 and XC500.

Okay, that is sweet!
Ak du alte swede!!! ;)

Do you do old forks for a living? Is that for sale? Can you change stem?

It's just a hobby ;-)
I think I have one or two of MX100. You don't want me to change the stem but the steerer?? The fork crown is boltened (no -press-in steerer) and you can use 1" or 1 1/8" steerer. There are also fork crowns for 1 1/4" steerer.

So the tube at the right is a Streerer, okay, what is a stem?
How much is a working MX100, in today’s money?

I suspect my frame is a 1-1/4” steerer, but I’m new to this.
I’ve found me a “fairly” priced Suntour ST fork, and bought it.

But I’ve also found me a retro Specialized Stumpjumper M2, where the fork is all “bounced out”, according to seller. I took a chance and bought it. I suspect it should be here next week. And there is a Marzocchi Bomber G4, would that be too good for eighter bike?
And is it possible to get parts for most good quality parts made up, or is it possible to retrofit spares from modern parts?
Or just send em to you?
