That is with just WindowsXP installed, nothing else, no programs, no updates... What are you doing when it does that.
Just buy a new computer (if you can stretch that far), less hassle in the long run and what you have now is pretty old
Depending where you got the hard drive form they may take it back.
It doesn't mention anything to do with RPC does it ?

just xp installed , and changed from explorer to firefox .
the odd thing is that my modem stays connected , dont need to re install it , but all the lights on the modem are going crazy .
yes ,, look like new pc is unavoidable .
