It wraps a couple of times round the tent, and is easy to get out to sit on when cooking etc, stopping me getting damp.

Thicker mat for the same space as a skinny full length one.
I cut weight by staying in a hotel.....no tent, towel, laundry done overnight so fewer clothes needed, no stove, food or sleeping stuff......
weight = bike + tools, tube, lock, toothbrush, credit card and phone.
I still count it as camping as i only stay in 4 star hotels....
