Girvin flex bush/damper replacements

Can anyone advise me on how to renew the rubber dampers in a flex stem
I thought there would be accessory packs to service and replace but can't seem to find any original girvin
I've been told Skateboard truck rubbers "might" work
My only other option is to buy a vehicle one that's oversized and shave it down on a laithe or drill press
Any ideas would be appreciated
To be honest I'll probably fit it to see if it takes the impact from going through the palms of my hands if not its coming off again 20230117_100252.jpg 20230117_100338.jpg

Just type in ‘skateboard truck elastomers’. Anything with a shore rating of 90-95 will be firm/hard and 80-85 suits shorter reach stems or lighter riders. You can also modify a flexstem to increase loft, reduce reach with a longer bolt and multi stack these.

So I took it down to my mates workshop and the polyurethane bush (green) is fine it was the "softer" rubber bush had perished ....
But I don't know about the length of the stem it's a fair bit shorter than existing and my saddle is already fully back on the post rail
Hell will freeze Over before I fit raised bars

If that is a short alloy flexstem for a 1" headset, and you decide it's not for you, then I'd be very pleased to relieve you of it 🙂
