Wanted to build a bike with an alfine with big wheels of 700 to be able to go to work in a suit

this is the result

I know the canti brakes initial axes are not looking nice but they can't be unscrewed
I had to, tweak the cable passage, as front derailleur passage was not on downtube and for the alfine, you really need the cable to com along the wheelbase
So I installed a small wheel to redirect the cable from the seattube

Frame : sunn revolt Fuji SL tubing 1995
Fork : threaded unknown chromed one from same period MTB in 1 inch
gears : Alfine 8V
Crankset : Specialité Vega with bash and 39 stronlight chainring
Brakes : Mafac Racer 1970's usual on the french high quality randonneuses - surprisingly efficient but noisy
Brake levers : Suntour XC Expert
Rims : Mavic Open Pro
Saddle : Italia Max
Bluemels light fenders

Will probably build a dynamo hub front wheel next for decent lightning
and may change the bar for better cruising position
pretty happy with the result
it was a funny challenge to be able to build it with most parts lying around in the garage

11.7 kilos with pedals
