Been following this looks amazing, had something similar back in the day. out of my price range though. Good luck with the sale.

Wow, that does look like a lovely "survivor" condition bike!

The Ground Control tyres are so rare now they must be worth a fair chunk of the asking price....

Re:

Really on the Ground Controls!! Got some in the garage!

Looks a beaut does this. Just down the road from me so happy to collect and post on for forum members.

Re:

This bike belongs to my bestest mate. I went with him
to Stif to collect it in 1993. It has had a really easy life and things like the chain rings (pace) are in fabulous condition. What is really gorgeous is the very rate fat Orange Alu fork and the even rarer one piece stem/bar combo. The rims have oodles of life left in them and the condition of this bike will not be bettered. Honestly if it was a size smaller I would buy it for myself (though my Rocklobster Ti would be jealous). Honest seller, great bike. Uncertain of value, but he is keen for it to go to a good home for a fair/sensible price.

Re:

Frame design suggests 89/90 rather than 93?

I guess I really should have a run out to look at it.

There's a few Clockwork frames this shape with what seems like 93 serial numbers and purchase date. I don't get it, unless a mixed up old design re order. But yeah to me it's 89 or 90 too.
Ace bike go for a look/deal haha.

Re:

You know, sleeping on it I think this was bought before 93 but definite after late 1990. From memory I think this was a bike that was built for a shop team rider but for some reason the sale/rider fell through. At the time I had just bought a Marin Palisades with that lovely grey frame and Yellow forks. The Prestige was bought 6-12 months after I got that as it was a replacement for a stolen ridgeback. I remember thinking that thumbies were a step back from my chunky rapid fire shifters!!!
