Fat Chance Shock a Billy project

A quick search on Google suggests shimming inside the steerer to fit a 1" stem to a 1 1/8" steerer is not a great idea. If you think of how a quill stem works it wedges itself in, this force wouldn't provide an even load on the steerer-shim interface so could easily slip.

Shim'a stem & Shim'a quill..................

A deadly Japanese kung foo duo

Looking forward to seeing this painted Tim, what is the time frame for the repaint once they have the frame?

Been told about a month when I last contacted Argos. I need to speak with them again as I may ask them to redo the Lower legs of my STS's Judy's as well. They are a little battle worn ;)

Thanks mate, this bike has taken a while and a lot of money to get to this stage but I think all the parts are in place now to have her repainted. I had to buy a whole Pace just to get the cranks!!!

I cannot wait for that first summer ride when she's finally finished ;)

Get yourself one, you'll be surprised how well they ride. A nice Yeti is my next planned build.
