Falco banana

Hi this is a bike I found in Drosi bikes in Wales. Think it's 1991. Could be a cheap Chris Lillywhite replica. I think he won the last milk race in 1991on a falcon banana. Was in a bit of state but cleaned up nice. Looks great but rides like pig.
You've made a greta job of that bike. It was in the 1991 catalogue and was certainly made to following year. Falcon won the Milk Race in 1990 with Shane Sutton 1st and Rob Holden 2nd. The following year Chris Walker was 1st. Sadly 1991 was the last year Falcon sponsored its pro cycling team. In 1990 they made virtually the same bike but in Reynolds 501 tubing and with upgraded components - mainly Shimano. They also made an all-yellow version: Team Cadet 12 with a lower spec than either of the other two. From a marketing point of view, Falcon wanted to sell bikes to the masses so these were visually similar to the team bikes (although they were in Reynolds 753 and highly specified) but built to an affordable price for the young enthusiast.
