I can see quite a few albums I recognise. I am surprised there isn't any Janes addiction or NIN in there..

Mine would probably be.

Electric Ladyland, Hendrix
Court of the Crimson King, King Crimson
Paranoid, black sabbath
Stormcock, roy harper
In search of Space, hawkwind
What a bunch Of Sweeties, pink faries
Yeti, Amon Duul
Camembert Electrique, Gong
Disraeli Gears, Cream
Meddle, Pink Floyd

listening to Wired by jeff beck at the moment, it should probably be on the list? Electric Ladyland will always come top on a list I make, and court of will always be with it. floyd albume will vary between saucerfull and dark side and you might even find goats head soup or sticky fingers in the list sometimes.

Quality selection.

Two great choices there - probably my favourite Rush era. Might include the bastard-love-child, Signals in all that. I prefer that era to some of the earlier albums - where I'd listen to all of these, albums like Hemispheres and 2112 I'd perhaps only listen to a couple of tracks.

In no particular order, selection criteria was if I could only listen to 10 albums ever again...

Metallica - Black Album (clever Metal - not one filler track)
Pavement - Wowee Zowee (One bad track - the last one, a shame...)
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde (Close to perfect)
REM - New Adventures in Hifi (Not the obvious choice but a real cracker)
Status Quo - Live (The best live album ever recorded... 1977 Glasgow Apollo)
Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks (perhaps a parody but so much energy)
Soundgarden - Superunknown (more clever Metal!)
Mark Lanegan - Self titled (Fantastically dark...)
The Beatles - White Album (apart from revolution 9...)
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (sharp as lasers)

I think the above proves I like guitar music...

First Stone Roses would be first reserve...

no particular order, many meaningless to some, awful to others, important to me:

There is Nothing - Ozric Tentacles

Music for the Jilted Generation - Prodigy

Oxygene - Jean Michelle Jarre

Abduction - Eat Static

Concerts in China - Jean Michelle Jarre

Leftism - Leftfield

Jurassic Shift - Ozric Tentacles

Strangitude - Ozric Tentacles

Bladerunner - Vangelis

Donnie Darko - Michael Andrews

Rising-Rainbow out on its own as number one, then in no particular order

Heaven and Hell-Black Sabbath
Machine Head-Deep Purple
The Number Of The Beast-Iron Maiden
Argus-Wishbone Ash
Unleashed In The East-Judas Priest
Highway To Hell-AC/DC
Appetite For Destruction-Guns N Roses
The Crossing-Big Country
Born To Run-Bruce Springsteen

First album I bought was at the age of 7 in 1970 and it was an elvis album. I loved his films were he sung all the way through because he couldn't act

second album I bought was in 1972 at the age of 9 and was Gary Glitter ....close escape

They ARE only a couple of tracks. ;)

Hemispheres was my first Rush gig, and is still my favourite album by them.
