Interesting, so the machining is the external butting you can see at the top of the seat tube and yes I can make out the sleeve at the bottom of the down tube - if I understand correctly. It would be fun to see that bike in person.

Bloody nice, thats what! Looks like yours has the machined seat-tube, but no sleeving. It's a mono-stay which means it's a Somerville. I'd say that yours is a fair bit newer that this one listed. This one is around late 92/early 93 about the same as mine (as is shown by the less artistic welds on both this and mine). Your welds are beautiful, but I'm still not sure what those welds on the headtube are though...
