For Sale Dyna-tech Ogre XCE frame Sold at £50

PeteW

Retro Newbie
For sale Raleigh Dyna-tech Ogre XCE frame and original fork. Size is 41cm center of BB to center of top tube. Frame number is C40001. As you can see well used. Cranks, seat post (which isn't stuck) and headset included as are the random original components shown in photo.

I bought it in 92/93 from a club mate who had done so well on it (UK sport champ IIRC) that she got sponsored and had to ride a Specialized. I did a few races on it but mostly raced road in those days. Bike was mostly used on days out and holidays, including the Alps! I did more MTB racing on it 1998-2000 before buying a Cannondale. This bike then got used as a single speed in about 2005 but a dedicated frame in 2006 meant it's been stored dry in the garage roof since then. House move means I've finally got to find a new home for it.

Price is £80 ono. Collection, I'm near Stonehenge or meet if a reasonable distance. I'm currently making occasional weekend trips to Plymouth and Staffs (Cannock Chase) if that helps.

Do it, save this frame. We're moving house and I've been given an ultimatum about my old stuff I've been hording for years 😁

I'm open to offers.

I've always had a soft spot for the everyday OK-but-a-bit-crap-in-places British stuff. It's why I'd prefer to have an Austin 1100 or a Marina rather than e.g. a Rolls Royce. Odd, I know :)

Hopefully this will give someone inspiration for great priced frame. Buy it and then you could do what I did if it takes your fancy......

Great frames and well worth restoring! Need to be very careful with your prep, if respraying though, to get a good key/prime on the titanium and don't let it anywhere near an oven or 😭 will ensue!!
