I think I was 13 when I had the Massif, the local bike shop advised that big frame and the seat post right down.
I think one place was
£6 and the other one was £8.50 including Sunday, Sunday was a bitch, had to do it in two trips, all them extras with the Sunday papers.
Think a lot went on Rave tape packs and other crap.
Luckily down here in Essex traffic wasn't a worry, I agree with your parents what with living in London Tom.
Raleigh bikes were in most LBS back then, it's a shame they are still not handbuilt in Nottingham.
Chinese now aren't they, they could have still be great.
I was with this one girl for years but also did the drinking at a young age.
At least 15 was getting older kids to buy drink at the local off license and they getting drunk down the park or the beach.
Binned off bikes when passed test and then got back into them at around 27 when cycling with the then young Son.
Old stuff is great, new stuff is rubbish
