Downgrading my ride, disc to v

My new bike has disc brakes and though having left it inside a pentagram, with 20 red candles lit around it, chanting rim o brake o rim o brake o for the last 24 hours straight, they're still there. I've thrown unholy water at the affected areas but they won't go away.

Me no likey, how do I get rid of this horrendous braking system? Can I get little bolt on v brake mounts for frame and fork? I don't want to get it welded. Any harm in using mountable v brake stuff? Can they even be purchased?

Surly karate monkey but it is okay I think I may just accept that disc brakes are part and parcel of the modern world. All the good 29er wheelset are disc anyway.
