Deore xt bl-m739 brake lever rebuild help pls

Just about to list for sale then realised that only one had any spring return type function.
Took the problem one apart and the spring has obviously disengaged from the lever somehow.
Doesn’t look like the sring is broken as it has the two differently crooked ends intact.
Can’t for the life of me work out how to engage / reassemble??
Any pointers?
Someone’s got a good video on YouTube but they conveniently don’t even mention the springs?

Shouldn’t the bent end of the spring sit in the notch near the hole in the lever blade?

(How much are you selling for? Out of interest? Need some v brake levers)
