I always thougt that Pikelets were the ones that snuck in round the back of the house and robbed you, while you were distracted with the tarmacing going on at the front

Pikelets are much yummier they are like drop scones but rise a bit an have crumpet style holes for the Lurpak to melt into I think they must be Olde English as there is a heritage of them in Australia too which suggests that they ga back to the 1700's at least
I like mine with Colston Bassett Stilton ,Walnuts and Honey......and lashings of Ginger Beer
