Covid build no. 2

Sligo

Retro Newbie
So I finally got around to doing the last bits to get this bike to a rideable state.
There are a few things which I dont like about it, but I can live with them.
I wanted to have more black on this build than on my other silver aluminium framed bikes, but I also wanted to use the Pace Rc36 forks, which I picked up for a fantastic price, unfortunately the silver / grey crown and drop outs doesnt fit very well with the black.
One thing I forgot to do (with a build which dragged out for too many months) was to check all bolts were properly tightened from when I trial fitted parts. Jumped on and sat down to find that my freshly revamped seatpost slides down in the clamp and peels off the bottom of the decals.............GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. boy did I calll myself a prize plonker!!!!
Got out at the weekend for a short ride with one of my munchkins. Think it was probably the last of the sunshine this year!

(Hopefully I manage to attach some photos) Drat, I cant, file is too big! need to practice more with this technology.

Nice. I personally like the forks, matches the Middleburn crankbolt....!

There is actually a fair amount of gold on it, but tried not to go overboard. Finding items with matching shades of colours is not easy (so I didnt bother)
I will take more photos, but the rear wheel has a gold/black Goldtec hub, gold nipples, bolts etc gold chainrings, chain, stem clamp. The rear mech seems to be more orange than gold. Bottle cage bolts will be going black soon.

I tried not to get too carried away with this build as it will definitely get ridden as intended. It may be clean now............

The struggle is real... I started on a blue theme on mine, discovered there's about 5 different shades of anodised blue...! Sticking with black and silver for my next one....

Dont get me started on tying to match an anodised black finish with a black paint finish during the height of lockdown!

Re:

Managed to get some time to myself this weekend and with the sunshining again stretched my legs.
Feeling depressed that the sun will be replaced by perpetual rsin and gloom.
Some more pictures.

Im realising how much i dislike the syncros seatpost. The decals are just too 'in my face'. Not helped by accidentally scraping the bottom letter off . Might have to go naked instead. I also have an alternative post to try aswell.
