...Those that weren’t there missed a good one...
On the other hand less people to see the look on my face when I realised my spare tube was for a skinny wheeled 20" wheel rather than a 29er...

But definitely a great ride, and thanks for the bacon roll & coffee.

I think I may need gears next time...

I've never hidden that they're a good idea if you're old and frail.

Sunday made me realise I may now qualify.

I have been told there may be as many as 3 gears in a Sturmey-Archer hub which sounds a bit excessive. :)

EDIT second thoughts: But I'll see if I can knock off a century on the bike as is first just in case it's a need for more fitness.

Re:

Twas a brilliant day great to see everyone but now I am utterly cream crackered. Work today was only possible with painkillers. Hopefully get to do it again someday :)

*Ninja edit* Just realised you were talking about Robmac, weren't you?

Anyway, I was in 2 minds about this one - didn't think I had anything that fit the gravel bill, but then I saw Jim's Orange :D And Brian's lack of gears...

Anyway, Keri made my mind up for me by deciding to do a cake stall at a local Craft Fair on the Sunday, and I was on gazebo duties. I did still manage to sneak in a quick couple of bike hours in between though, as well as scoring a free slice before she completely ran out.

Looks like it was a good 'un, especially if that was the short version.

You were mentioned during the ride ZZ, but all good don't worry.
I was saying to Clubby I hadn't had a chance to get a ride in with you for a while now and wasn't sure whether you would be at this one, what with the move and all.
The beauty of gravel is nearly everything fits the bill, road or mtb :)

Here are a few random photos I took during the day. Didn't take many as we were moving at such a pace ;)
I must say again it was such a nice varied connection of trails from tight rooty singletrack, farm roads, gravel paths and even a bit of bike park type stuff. Something for everyone.

I’d have been much more unpleasant if I’d been talking about you :)

Be good to do the full version sometimes. Have to start about 7am though.

Re:

Twas a grand day indeed by the look of it - hopefully by midsummer I'll be out properly again. Nice P7 that too - had one o they for a while.
