Finally got Scarlett into the workshop......

First job, copper grease the NOS Kalloy seat post, we did talk about cleaning up the original but as this was £10 and black already, that would have been silly.... talking of silly; “sparkly poo!” Was the exclamation.... :facepalm:


Next, a neat little Kalloy quick release, original to the frame. Just needed some rust removal and a new black rubber ‘o’ ring

On with the crank set “mind that paint! LGF will notice the tiniest scratch!”


Rear mech next

Then the LX V-brake levers and a set of 3 x 7 gripshifts... ok, neither around in 1991 but what the lady wants

That’s all folks, well for today anyway....
