I have this tool and it works great for chasing threads. I don't think it will cut new threads in anything but aluminum. I have used it 8 times in the last 3-4 years and it is holding up well. I was a machinist for 35 years and do have plenty of experience tapping all materials. It has paid for itself by not having to go to the bike shop and...wait a week. Also, use a quality thread cutting oil, WD-40 is not your friend when chasing threads.
