Carbon / aluminium join - advise needed

Hello. I found a discoloured line where I guessed the carbon seatstay meets the aluminium dropout, common sense said it’s on the join but I couldn’t stop myself rubbing it down to make sure. It was right on the join, no sign of damage. I’ve applied a reasonable amount of pressure to the dropout & there’s zero sign of movement. Can anyone say for certain (I appreciate without inspection it’s difficult to say!) that this wasn’t the sign of a potential future failure? Is this sort of discolouration common where carbon meets aluminium?

I can't see a lot wrong there. I can see carbon at one end and aluminium at the other with some grey adhesive in between. I'm not sure why there's a fillet on top of the joint, maybe to stop the paint cracking across the joint?
