Cannondale M600 1994, heritage build of 1998

I have to say, how did you achieve a shine like that on the hubs? I’ve got a set of those and trying to polish them a bit just rubs the logo off.

I used Autoglym metal polish, and it also took off some colour off the logos. These hubs were in quite good condition to begin with, so I did not have to scrub too much. Delicate ones, maybe should order new ones from Gil.

Mine were nearly brand new but dirt sticks to them very easily and ruins the look.

Autoglym does work well on bikes.

This was not in the actual plan, but could not resist, when these NOS 535’s emerged near me. Well, the old ones were quite beaten… in fact they are a reassembly of two pairs of beaten sets. These are not 747’s, but lovely anyway.

Finish line at sight. Was a pleasure to follow the local master wheel builder at his work putting together the Quarz hubs and Wolber AT400 with DT Competition spokes.
