Campagnolo Strada

I’ve recently bought a lovely Joe Waugh and it’s come with some lovely Campag components.

The 53/42 chainset is a total leg-killer and caused great anguish on a recent hilly ride. It’s stamped 170 Strada 0. The 0 is in a circle. Does this mean it was manufactured in 1980? Any help identifying the beast would be greatly appreciated.

The number being inside a circle means the 1980-89 decade, so 1980. A diamond was used for the 1970-79 decade.
The 170 is the length in mm and the rings are Super Record. Record and Super Record chain sets used exactly the same cranks, the differences were the chain rings and the bottom brackets. At one time Record had chrome plated chain wheel bolts while Super Record used stainless but that went out of the window pretty quickly.

You need a bigger block on the back then something like a 14-34 set up...
