Campag Mirage 9 speed / what speed?

Hi. I have a set of Campag Mirage shifters. The right is the 9 speed (has 9 speed printed on it and it clicks 8 times). The left clicks 11 times in both directions = 12 positions / about 27mm total cable pull. I also have a chorus carbon BB-system right hand lever that has the same 11 clicks with similar amount of pull! What are they? Please advice, thanks, Fatmat

Older Mirage used the lovely micro-index system instead of two big clunks for the front mech. Sounds totally normal.

No idea on the Chorus, sounds like it might have a broken G-spring inside. 11 speed was much later.

Thanks hamster, I have the same 11 clicks on this left hand Athena, is it just a double? & the Mirage, just a double?

All Campag shifters with the micro-index will run a triple. The system is brilliant - no scraping mechs, no techiness. It will also shift MTB fronts fine, which Shimano cannot.
