C4 class early carbon monocoque

Bought this as a bare frame a year or so ago and have built it up bit by bit.

Apparently this was the first carbon frame to come in under 1kg in weight.

I have no idea what year it was made...Very hard finding any kind of information on the bike and manufacturer so I'd love it if any of you have any knowledge.

I know that the C4 Joker had quite a big following

C4 no longer make bikes but still do stuff with carbon.

I'm still waiting on some wh7700 wheels and a FRM seatpost that aren't silly expensive.

I know this is heresy but am considering a respray as the previous owner clearly didn't care for the paintwork!

Somewhere in the hidden depths of my sad (and often unreliable) little mind I have a feeling that - perhaps, only perhaps - Graham Weigh MIGHT have been involved in selling these at one time. A phone call might bring some info. Speak to Keith - but don't tell him I sent you.............................

Fantastic looking frame, a lovely bit of carbon history there.

The paint doesn't look too bad in your images, but it's your frame, I say go with what makes you happy. Great choice on the wheels too, the front 7700 hub/spoke arrangement is a piece of cycling art!
