Aye, think im stuck as is and be looking at something suspended and fill the void with rockwool or something.
Landlady has just paid for this ceiling and will not be interested in redoing it.
Ive too much on the go now to concentrate on this so ill stick to being out if it gets too noisy. At least the heavy banging about only goes on to 8:30pm usually, with the occasional 10pm.
