British Eagle 8 piece Pro-Carbon 1988ish

British Eagle

I sold a few of these brand new at the time, I always thought they were made by ALAN but never 100% convinced. They also did a mountain bike version as well.
This is the first one I've seen for over 15 years, NICE bit of kit.

Nice bit of history you have their Old Ned :)

Stringfellow: Just wondering how many you manage to sold and how long did they made them for? When i ordered mines in Glasgow there was a queue of around 15-20 people to get measured up for one. I was 4th or 5th in line. Racking my brain I think it might have been 1989-1990 when I got it actually?

Yes i remembered I could order a 3 piece carbon 8 piece carbon like mines and a 9 piece carbon (which was the carbon front forks) I'm kinda glad i didn't get that one as I think it would have been smashed by now with the 3 crashes I've had in the pass.

Update: replace all parts with modern groupset a cross between the ultegra 6700 and dura ace 7800. Got compact crank which seems to suit me better. Also recently got side swiped on the road and over the handle bar into a grassy patch which was lucky and the bike was still in once piece thank god.

Gone Tubeless which is rather interesting, really loving the bike not sure if I'm actually getting fitter or the bike is getting faster lol :) got 80% of the parts off eBay for bargain prices.
