Boot sale find benotto 2500: gravelly buildy thingy

Just picked this up from the boot sale for £30 pound. Sure it has some rust spots but the parts are good. It has a selle italia saddle, campag aero seatpost, and a 105 groupset. However I have no idea what the frame is. I was thinking along the lines of harry quinn or something like that.

After some thorough research I’ve looked at many benotto models it looks as those share the most details with this bike I have here. The seat cluster, the bb cable routing, c/stay cable routing, this one has obviously been repainted.

Not bad for 30 but looks like it's been thickly re painted at some point but seems a lot of rust under the paint?

Yeah the paint looks a bit thick and some rust in places but it looks pretty sound. Can’t find any info about that Columbus tube set.

Yes I did find that hole peculiar, I’ll get some better pics tomorrow. Why would it be there?

It hasn’t cracked off and it was there when they painted it as it has paint all round the edges and inside. Looks like it once had decals
