OK, so I´ve fixed it up with the Chris King 18T cog instead.
I´ve had a problem with a stuck post that I´m now trying to solve.
Within the next couple of weeks i´ll hopefully get that fixed.
Here´s a pic for now.
I hope this bike will be really cool when it´s done

The next piece of the puzzle solved!
I got the Blackspire chainring, 36T, on ebay from an australian mystery man...
He sent it promptly though so no worries there

This is what it looks like on the crank.

Hi folks!

After f**king up my seat post I´ve had the frame the entire summer at my LBS.
In the end it had to be pushed down the seat tube, and that really sucks!
I´ll never be cocky thinkng I´ll do that sort of stuff on my own again :facepalm:
The one thing that didn´t suck is that I´ve got my rasta bonty back :twisted:

OK, the only thing I didn´t have handy was a half-link. That would have worked nicely so I have the old middle ring (32T) in place of the blackspire (36T).
So it´s now 32/16. Not really workable for commuting but a real workout riding trails, at least for me. Let´s see what the future brings...

Enuff talking, time for pictures. I´ll update later on if I take some cool pics.

I have to say that Bontragers look real wicked as single speeds :twisted:

A little update as I´ve committed using the privateer as a commuter bike :facepalm:

I´ll try using a 42/18 gearing for starters as I´ve got lots of heavy climbing to and fro work.
Hopefully I won´t go back using the race lite, but time will tell.

Reusing a 42T XT chainring...

In all it´s glory.

And after riding in shitty weather. Swedish winters really suck anal as it´s cold as hell right now.
Hopefully it´ll be a lot better, soon...

I´ve finally put in the un-91 bb that I got a year and a half ago.
The old one (and original) gave up the ghost so it was about time...

And here´s the update.

I got hold of a real nice crank, Dura Ace FC-7410, which is 8-speed.
I got it from Italy and the guy shipped it super quick!
I´ll see if I can fix the oxidation later, but they look fine to me
And they´re really light, as you might expect



In there is the Chris King 16T cog that goes on as well...
