this is an idea that i did consider and obviously completely neglected to follow up on. seems simple enough - we have an old Honeywell thermostat - just a knob you turn to the temp you want.

i guess this is what a digital thermostat replaces yes?
and in most cases is a straight, unwire, re-wire job?

Simply put,

You run a length of 5 core flex from your boiler to a wall mounted wireless receiver. Then you mount the wireless transmitter where ever you like or just leave it free from the wall and put in whatever room you are using at the time

Just make sure you remove and make safe the old thermostat wire from the boiler when you do it and then when you next redecorate, take the old stat off of the wall and make good.
